Right now, there are almost 300 million food photos on Instagram. Someone asked, "why would anyone be interested in sharing photos of their food?"
This is my first attempt at a food photography selfie. Who would have thunk it.

It is logical that my FB photography page should be removed next. FB pages aren't easy to manage as they were five years ago. And since I am not into it to sell my images, only to share my stuff, I don't see the point of keeping the page.
Instagram and FB pages are becoming a headache; too many trolls, fake accounts promoting stuff and scamming people. Keyboard warriors roam the internet to fight and argue over everything. They are empowered by the anonymity of the internet to deceive, manipulate and vilify others. Allowing them to say things they might not say face to face.
So to regain my sanity, I am deleting a big chunk of my social media footprint. I am signing off from those accounts for good, and taking a temporary social media detox.
Decided to shoot the image early on a Sunday morning. I figured at that time the drug dealers are in bed, and there is less car traffic on the road, no pun intended. I guess that is why police arrest people in the early morning, criminals are not anticipating a visit from the police or the FBI. Besides, a lot of criminal activity takes place at night.
Arrived early one Sunday morning and took several images without any unexpected trouble. Perfect Instagram photograph!
Nowadays is difficult to find anyone who is not on social media. In my opinion, the conspiracist theorists and purveyors of misinformation have given social media a bad name. They have made it harder for the true experts to spread correct information.
