A Few Images From Paris

I arrived home this past Monday, after spending almost a week in Paris. A fascinating city, worthy of many return visits. I think I will need at least a month to see all Paris has to offer.

I followed a friend's advice and obtained a French Health Pass on the day of my arrival to enter museums, restaurants and public venues. Health passes are available at any pharmacy for $36.00 euros.

You have to show your vaccination card at the pharmacy. They transfer the information to the document, you pay the fee and receive the pass in the spot. Without the French Health Pass, people are not allowed to enter most establishments. They requested the document at every restaurant I visited.

My main concern was where to obtain a COVID test 24 hours prior to returning to the states. Without a negative test result, the airline will refuse people to get on board. On my first day I learned that COVID-19 test are available at any pharmacy in Paris. The test cost $26.00 euros, and there is a pharmacy in every corner. No appointments necessary as you can see me on the last picture, standing outside the pharmacy waiting to be called for the test.

City indoor dining will resume February 14 in Philadelphia, officials announced today, after rolling back Covid-19 restrictions.

The city is lifting restrictions earlier for museums. It's about time.

Stop Being Stupid Or Die

Two weeks ago, I wrote about a camp in Texas where dozens of children at a summer camp became infected with coronavirus. Now, we have a new report from a Georgia summer camp where 260 children and staff tested positive in an outbreak that spread in just days.

The group with the most number of children infected were the youngest kids, children ages from 6 to 10 years old. The report says that 75% of all children known to have contracted coronavirus experienced symptoms.

I thought children couldn't get it or spread it? Anyway, that's what my conservative friends keep telling me.

This news report blows the conservative theory out of the water that children don't get infected, they are asymptomatic, and they don't show signs. The republicans pushing for schools to reopen have been feeding the country lies about the virus not causing disease in children.

It reminds me when Dan Patrick, Texas Republican lieutenant governor encouraged grandparents to die for the economy. According to Dan Patrick, "old people should volunteer to die to save the economy".

On a related note, remember when former GOP Presidential candidate Herman Cain kept repeating FauxNews talking point that there is no pandemic? Herman Cain died of COVID-19 this past Thursday.

Moral of the story : Stop being stupid or die.

In the meantime, our moron president tweeted today again that "if we tested less, there would be less cases". If we follow this moronic imbecile line of thinking, it means you'll never get pregnant, if you never take a pregnancy test.

Anyone who still demands schools to reopen needs to be booked as an accessory to mass murder.

Tales From The Trumpster Fire

The Orange Clown is an embarrassment to the legacies of the four men carved into Mt Rushmore. Michael McFaul, former U.S. ambassador to Russia said it best, "yesterday we watched the most un-American speech ever delivered by an American president on the July 4th weekend".

The Orange Buffoon-In-Chief basically called everyone that doesn't support him un-American and traitorous. He used our Independence Day to tell a majority of our country that we are not welcome here in America. In other words, if we don't love him, we don't love our country.

The Orange Clown just promised that no one will ever desecrate Mt Rushmore, while he is desecrating Mt. Rushmore himself.

He tried to use bigly words, like totalitarianism, but can't pronounce them. Pronouncing totalitarianism is almost as hard as reading a daily briefing for this Clown. No wonder he screwed it up. For someone who loves totalitarianist regimes and wouldn't think twice about turning America into a theological totalitarianist state, it sounds as if he has never spoken the word totalitarianism before. Meanwhile he’s pointing the fingers at Biden’s cognitive decline. Oh the irony.

He is reading words on the teleprompter and you really feel that he is speaking word after word without understanding what he is reading. He didn't write it, has trouble reading it, and doesn't comprehend what he's reading. I can't imagine how this man got through school. He has the vocabulary of a drunken mentally deficient illiterate that grew up in a tin shack next to a garbage dump.

The economy's in the toilet, 44 million of Americans filed for unemployment, over 130,000 Americans dead from COVID-19, riots and lawlessness has spread throughout our country, soldiers deployed against American citizens.

Can you imagine how Republicans would’ve reacted if President Barack Obama had done this?

Wear a Mask. The Life You Save May Be Your Own.

As a healthcare worker, I am dumbfounded at our elected officials refusal to wear a mask. For the last two months, president Trump has trashed mask wearing, undermining his own government's advice.

2012 GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain condemned masks. I just learned yesterday that Cain is now hospitalized infected with COVID-19, less than two weeks after attending Trump's Tulsa, Nuremberg rally.

Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, who had said he did not believe in mandatory masks, is now reversing himself and is threatening people with fines up to $250 dollars. Last Wednesday, Texas reported almost 9,000 new cases, the highest one day total in Texas since the start of the pandemic.

Texas and Florida governors have been miserable failures protecting their citizens because they cared more about pleasing Trump. Two days ago, Florida shattered records with over 10,000 new COVID-19 cases in a single day.

As a healthcare worker, I've witnessed firsthand, friends and co-workers infected with COVID-19. I don't want to become another COVID-19 statistic.

As of today, July 3, 2020, the number of Americans who have died from COVID-19 is 130,000 people. I am not Nostradamus, but at this rate of daily infections, I predict that by Labor Day we will surpass the 200,000 mark. Our government response to this pandemic has been a complete and utter disaster. Our government has failed us.

About 100 million registered American voters did not cast a ballot in 2016. There's the old adage that "every nation gets the government it deserves". If you don't vote, you should not be complaining about the incompetence of Trump's regime. You had a chance to have a say in the outcome, and you blew it.

I Alone Can Fix It, I Will Restore Law and Order

While campaigning for the presidency in 2016, the Stable Genius didn't ask Americans to place their trust in each other or in God, but rather in him. He said and I quote: "I am your voice,  I alone can fix it. I will restore law and order".

This morning I was unable to get to work, the riots and looting paralyzed the entire city of Philadelphia. Public transportation (SEPTA) was shutdown. Taxis weren't operating. The city is enforcing a curfew until 6:00 am tomorrow morning.

While waiting for the bus this morning,  ( the bus never arrived, and trains weren't working )  I noticed looters still ransacking the local stores. Overnight, they broke into every ATM in my neighborhood. Businesses have been reduced to rubble, destroyed completely. I called my supervisor and told her I wasn't going to able to make it to the clinic today.

This is the first time, in my lifetime, that I witness anything like this. The entire nation has turned violent, cities are burning. The United States have turned into, to paraphrase the Stable Genius,  a "shithole country".

[ More than one hundred thousand Americans have died of COVID-19. Forty million Americans are unemployed. Now the United States is burning. ]

How does our Consoler-In-Chief fix it? He threatens to unleash "vicious dogs" and gunfire on protesters, “when the looting starts, the shooting starts." Today, he berated governors, called them weak and encouraged more violence. In addition, Trump shared during a press conference that he plans to use the military against American citizens in order to squash protests.

Thank you Mr. Trump, for making America great again.

Donald Trump The Wannabe Dictator

Did you watch Trump's Nurember rally the other day? Just an utterly unhinged, childish temper tantrum. At one point, I swear I saw somebody motioning for the guys in the white jackets.

So now, once again, our dictator wannabe claimed that he, not governors, had "total authority" to open states amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Constitution of the United States, give states, not the federal government, "police power" to regulate activities during a public health crisis.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is 100% correct, "we don't have a King, we have an elected president".

The fact is, Trump ignored warnings, downplayed the virus and said it would go away by April.

Trump wasted time holding rallies and playing golf instead of planning and testing; people died as a result. Imagine if you had lost a family member because the President played politics instead of protecting the country against a deadly virus?

Yesterday, Fox News host Bret Baier called out the orange turd hypocrisy, and said, "imagine how conservatives would have responded had former President Barack Obama declared that the president’s “authority is total,” as Donald Trump did this week." Conservative heads would've exploded if Obama claimed Trump's total authority."

The orange turd is now trying to blame the Coronavirus on the World Health Organization, and is complaining that the WHO praised China for its transparency. Guess who else praised China for its transparency? The same moron who never takes responsibility.

The orange turd lies so much he can’t keep track of what he said. And still his followers accept his verbal diarrhea.

History will not be kind to those that voted, and continue to enable the Orange Combover Caligula. Trumpers went from screaming about Obama death panels to asking how quickly we can kill grandma to help Wall Street.

The self appointed Stable Genius who claimed, "I alone can fix it", has blood on his hands.
