Where Is The Nuclear War Fallout Shelter Near You?

Listening to Trump's bootlickers this morning, the arrogance of this administration makes me sick. They are already calling victory after last night Iran's attack. It reminds me of the "Mission Accomplished" proclamation in 2003 of ex-president Bush's televised speech on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.

The Trump administration is under the impression that the government of Iran is going to allow the United States to invade their airspace, and bomb their facilities without any repercussions. In the same breath, our government wants to reassure Americans that they want peace with the Iranians. They claim the United States is not a war with Iran. These bootlickers, in their deluded minds expect no reprisal.

Does anyone honestly believe that any nation that was just attacked won't launch any kind of retaliation? Iran's foreign minister is heading to Russia to meet with Putin. Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, said today that President Donald Trump "has pushed the US into another war" and that countries are "ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads."

So now that Israel and the USA will cause other countries to give the Iranians nuclear weapons, will we be bombing those countries to stop them to? Or do we only bomb countries that don't have one yet?

Bottom line, there was no need for the United States to bomb Iran. When will we stop getting directly involved in wars? My prediction is that the price of gas/oil is about to skyrocket. This will not end well.

Taking A Gamble With A GoPro

After procrastinating for months, I finally decided to bite the bullet, and ordered a used GoPro Hero9 Black on Ebay. The pictures that were included with the ad shows a camera in what appears to be pristine condition. I realize I may regret this purchase, especially after reading so many complaints about the newer cameras. And it doesn't help that my old trusty GoPro Hero4 Silver has been reliable throughout the years. But, sometimes in life I guess we have to take a gamble.

The reason for this sudden decision is twofold:

1) My old trusty GoPro Hero4 Silver does not have Linear Mode, Horizon Leveling or Hypersmooth 3.0 stabilization, which I would like to have for my motorcycle rides. It cannot capture RAW images either.

2) The price was dirt cheap.

The GoPro Hero9 Black camera comes with a charger, two batteries, a SanDisk Extreme 256GB memory card, a case, and several mounts. For now, I am not interested using the MediaMod, since I prefer to use a Zoom recorder with an external microphone. This has been my preferred method to record sound for years.

I plan to use "this new-to-me" camera primarily for some of my basic hobbies like, motorcycle rides, kayaking and snorkeling. Nothing fancy.

Once I put this camera to the test, I'll hope to write an updated review. Never say never, but for now I am not interested in the Insta360 or the DJI Osmo. At least not yet.

GoPro Clickbait Nonsense

Just spent over 12 minutes watching a useless "clickbait" video about GoPro major fatal flaw. The video start by mentioning that since the very beginning, there is a flaw in every single GoPro camera ever made.

To put this blog post in context, for the last several weeks I've been seriously considering upgrading my Gopro and getting a GoPro Hero13; the one with all the new bells and whistles. Which is why I decided to watch this video. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with my GoPro Hero4 Silver. It works flawlessly during snorkeling, kayaking and motorsports.

The fatal flaw is not even mentioned until the last few seconds of the video that I just watched. It took him 12 minutes to get to the point. During the first 2 seconds, he could've just said that the fatal flaw about GoPro is the overheating and be done with it. Not to mention, the video also included a sponsored ad about some product unrelated to GoPro.

I guess this is the new norm. Content creators with professional looking videos, and lots of ads and blah content. All fluff, no real answer to their own question.

The Stock Market Crashes Today After Trump Throws Massive Tantrum Amid More Tariff Threats

The Orange Turd, our authoritarian fascist dictator wannabe crashed the stock market today, again. The stock market crashed today thanks to this moron daily tantrums and tariffs threats.

Never in my wildest dreams I would ever imagine that Republicans in Congress would fully support a president directly targeting specific companies via taxation applied through executive orders. This basically is governmental extortion. Our tyrannical authoritarian wannabe dictator is saying, do this or face retaliation.

And this congress has no spine. They just follow orders and kiss the ring, from the greatest grifter in the history of our republic. In my opinion, we are watching the downfall of America's democracy and the one clown who is destroying the world's best economy.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy Insisted Newark's Airport Is Safe, Then Avoided It For Wife

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy admitted to changing his wife’s travel plans to avoid Newark Airport amid a series of air traffic control failures and delays there.

Duffy’s confession immediately raised eyebrows, as he has repeatedly insisted that flying out of Newark is safe. That’s despite the airport’s air traffic control experiencing two radar and radio control blackouts within the last two weeks.

When Sean Duffy was in Congress, he voted AGAINST increased funding for the FAA to address these airport EXACT ISSUES.

Telesin Windshield Clamp Mount for GoPro Action Camera

The other day I purchased a Telesin mount for my GoPro camera, to be installed on my motorcycle windshield. I should be able to test this mount on the road as soon as the rain stop in my area. If I can record at least three different perspectives using three cameras on the same trip, I'll consider it a success.

Camera Shutter Count

Dow Jones Headed For Worst April Since the Great Depression

The Wall Street Journal's front page today reads: Dow Jones headed for worst April since the Great Depression.

$1.4 trillion was just wiped from the Stock Market today. Trump approval rating falls to 42%, lowest since taking office. When it comes to the economy, only 37% of Americans approve. They must be so tired of winning.

No Tripods Allowed

One of the best gadgets in my photography toolbox for my photo-walks is something called a Platypod. It is the world's most compact tripod base.

Years ago, I remember traveling to Washington DC to photograph the Capitol Building at sunset. I was shocked when a security officer informed me that tripods are banned. I also encounter the same situation on top of the Rockefeller Center observatory in NYC.

Even though it is a hassle, I used to carry my tripod on my motorcycle rides all the time. Now I use a Platypod. In my opinion, Platypod is a game changer for travel photography. No need to carry heavy tripods. It is all about traveling light and having fun. Check it out, it is a great tool.

My New Toy Has Just Arrived

For the first time in a long time, I realized that my current set of lenses aren't meeting my needs to capture some of the landscape photos I tried to photograph while visiting family in Puerto Rico this past Christmas.

A Sigma 400mm telephoto lens in pristine condition, in the original box I had ordered from Japan on Ebay has just arrived. This 400mm telephoto lens should be a great addition to my photography gear, and cover all the bases ensuring that I have the proper focal length to capture the scene, subject, and composition effectively.

I expect to test this telephoto lens at a couple of motorcycle races I plan to attend this upcoming summer. I will keep you posted about the results.

Debi Tirar Mas Fotos

THE ORANGE TURD CRASHED THE STOCK MARKET, AGAIN.

The Trump economy is collapsing before our eyes, and the numbers don't lie. Wall Street is in a freefall. The stock market is looking like a slow motion train wreck. Yesterday, Monday saw one of the worst stock market drops in a long time. The Dow Jones at one point was down a thousand points. Investors are panicking. Experts blame it on Trump's economic chaos.

He told you what he was going to do and YOU VOTED FOR IT. It’s not anyone’s fault but your own. We told you this was coming. You voted thinking he was going to hurt *someone else* besides you and yours.

In just seven, short weeks, the traitor Donald Trump, has crashed the economy, taken us to the brink of recession, fired thousands of federal workers, wrecked the government, lost the respect of our friends and neighbors around the world, and surrendered to the murderous Vladimir Putin. And to top it all off, the Orange Turd administration will cut Social Security and Medicare. Remember, you voted for this.

Regret Sets In For Many Trump Voters

The other day I spoke with friends and former co-workers who I know voted for Trump. It turns out that some of their family members received a letter terminating their federal job. No severance pay, or unemployment benefits.

They had been working for the federal government for years, and their contract stated that they could not be fired unless they had done something wrong. They could not believe what is happening. Some now say that the biggest mistake of their lives was voting for Trump. They voted for others to lose their jobs and civil rights, not for themselves.

I guess they didn’t believe Trump when he said….. “I don’t care about you, I just want your vote “. These Trump supporters are suddenly surprised that cruelty and revenge as a political strategy actually hurts people, until it affects them.

Social Security, Medicaid, SNAP Benefits, Education Funding and Medical Research are next on the chopping block. Don't say you weren't warned.

The Sea Was Angry That Day My Friends

Yesterday, several weather alerts were issued regarding rough large breaking waves, and dangerous swimming conditions for the west and north part of the island.

While the states are bracing for more feet of snow, and the California raging wildfires, we are dealing with dangerous swimming conditions in the island. Despite the bad forecast about the coastal hazards in effect, I ventured out to take a couple of pictures.

I dared to take a couple of images at one of my favorite spots in my old neighborhood. I've never taken pictures of the angry sea before.

While I stood there trying to capture the tall waves barreling against the swing hanging from the tree, this reminded me of the George Constanza Marine Biologist Seinfeld episode. It sounds funny now, but last night I was scared to death watching breaking waves of 9 to 10 feet. Enjoy the picture!

Family and Friends

Last night, my niece joined us at the baseball park to watch the first playoff game. Even though our local team lost the game, we had a great time. What do people without family and friends do?
